San Jose, Costa Rica (PRWEB) April 9, 2004

BoDog.com Sportsbook and Casino™ has released odds on Michael Jordan’s ownership of an NBA Franchise prior to the 2005-06 season. Although Jordan was forced to relinquish his minority stake in the Washington Wizards prior to returning to play, rumors have begun to swirl as to Jordan’s potential ownership in an additional franchise in the near future.

“I feel it’s wonderful for the game to have simply the most respected player to ever play in the NBA take on an ownership role,” said Rob Gillespie, President of BoDog.com Sportsbook and Casino. “Jordan is 1 of the most recognizable athletes in pro sports, and that quickly adds mystique to any team that he would have ownership in.”

Commissioner David Stern is already on board with Jordan taking ownership, which could undoubtedly speed up the procedure. Currently the Phoenix Suns are the only NBA Team pro-actively seeking out new ownership, and for that reason they are presently the favorite. Jordan taking ownership in the Phoenix Suns is running at four/3 odds. Charlotte could turn out to be a two time NBA Franchise city, and if the Bobcats get off the ground Jordan could have stake in the team. The present odds for Jordan to have ownership in the Charlotte Bobcats are 6/1. Milwaukee seems like a team ready to speak with Jordan as nicely, presently at 3/1 odds. With his son playing High School hoops in Chicago, and Jordan’s extremely decorated past with the Bulls, Chicago would be a dream come true for his airness. Regrettably it does not appear like the Bulls are up for grabs, which is why Chicago is currently at 10/1 odds.

With so several teams potentially getting interest in Jordan’s ownership, the Field selection is offered at 7/2 odds. Washington was Jordan’s first run at NBA ownership, and the odds for him to return to the Wizards helm are 20/1. The extreme long shot team for Jordan is the Utah Jazz, at present sitting at 50/1 odds. You can also wager on Jordan not taking any ownership inside the subsequent 2 years, with odds running at 2/1.

“Sports icons, similar to Jordan, have the capacity to turn teams around, and naturally generate much more dollars for the team,” said Gillespie. “Look what Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux’s ownership has completed for Phoenix, and Pittsburgh respectively.”

The Jordan Valley or Plain of Jericho
Jordan

Image Title: The Jordan Valley or Plain of Jericho

Image Description from historic lecture booklet: &quotOn the last steep descent on the road from Jerusalem is a view of scenes deeply intriguing, the Jordon Valley or plain of Jericho. The width of the plain here is sixteen miles and would demand completely five hours by ordinary travel from this point, to gain the foot of the mountains of Moab, which could be seen beyond the plain.

The ruins of ancient Jericho of Joshua’ time are around the mountain to the left of this picture just beyond the vision. The Jericho of Herod in the time of Christ is supposed to have occupied a position on the plain at the foot of this descent. The bed of the Jordon is about the center of the plain.

On the left might be observed the path on the northern bank of the brook Cherith. The path begins at the Elijah Convent. Right after leaving Elijah Convent, the path traverses the side of the gorge, very precipitous above and below. Numerous are the caverns and cells which have accommodated hermits and anchorites for numerous centuries. These caves may be noticed on either side of the gorge.&quot

Jordan and the Promised Land, Palistine
Jordan

Image Title: Jordan and the Promised Land, Palistine

Image Description from historic lecture booklet: &quotIn the study or rivers and their valleys the Jordan need to be considered as a unique case. Rivers can’t cut even at their mouths, but a small below the level of the body into which they flow. The Jordan does not violate this law and however a portion of its course is far below sea level. It rises west of Mt. Hermon and following spreading out into Lake Merom and the Sea of Galilee, discharges its waters into the Dead Sea, which has not outlet and is a body of salt water, and here the Jordan is below sea -level. The Valley of the Jordan, the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee occupy a portion of a long narrow depression in the surface of the earth. At the east and wast margins of the depression there are wonderful fissures or breaks in the rocks and the land between these fissures has fallen or been drawn in toward the center of the earth.&quot
