Question by Anna Kloeden: What are the probabilities of Royal Brunei Air going bust in the subsequent 8 months?
I am looking at flights from LHR=BNE for Christmas 09. I’ve discovered a really inexpensive one with Royal Brunei (680 pounds return) which I’m thinking of booking, but I’m not positive – my annual travel insurance does not cover a bankrupt airline. Also, given GFC I’m wondering if flight costs are most likely to go down in the subsequent 6 months?

Not sure on that 1, given that they are government subsidized, I would think they would stay afloat as lengthy as the government is there.

My wife and I are preparing on living in brunei and we have a daughter and she’s deaf. We just require a list of schools for the deaf , and are deaf people accepted there?

I do not know for sure if there is a school for the deaf there, but I identified a couple of resources that could aid you. Dictionaries for Brunei Sign Language can be found here: http://www.japem.gov.bn/BIsyarat/Bahasa%20Isyarat.htm and here: http://www.japem.gov.bn/BIsyarat/BI_agama.htm. Because you are moving there, hopefully you know enough of the language that you can understand those pages. Possibly they will have a lot more info on deaf schools or deaf organizations in the country.

An additional great source of data for you could be by means of Malaysia considering that they are neighbors. They do for positive have some deaf organizations, and they could be able to answer your questions a lot more accurately. I am planning on going to Brunei to apply for a job, is that possible without going to an agency? Going first to an agency is common here in the Philippines, but, I know a few people that just went to another asian country and just applied.

Typically one is suppose to go to the embassy in question requesting the correct documents in order to immigrate before working.
